Andrea María Arias Vargas is a lawyer and notary public, a member of the Costa Rican Bar Association with card number 9553. She has over 27 years of experience practicing law, specializing in civil and notarial matters. The granddaughter of renowned Costa Rican lawyer Eladio Vargas Fernández—a leading figure in family law—she inherited from him a profound vocation for justice, as well as the values of honesty, integrity, and professional ethics that have guided her entire career.

Throughout her career, she has served as a legal advisor to key state institutions, including the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (JUPEMA), the Ministry of National Planning and Economic Policy (MIDEPLAN), and as an external advisor in judicial collection proceedings for the Municipality of Heredia.

In 2023, she was recognized by the Costa Rican Bar Association for her 25-year professional career, a distinction that reflects the commitment and seriousness with which she carries out her work every day.
